These were my very first pair of “professional” headphones, and they were recommended to me by my sound mentor during my time at university. That was back in 2011 – and I honestly haven’t looked back since.

Even though I do also switch between wireless headphones and the beyerdynamic, nothing compares to the crisp, detailed sound you get from these. They still hold up years later as a true studio staple.

🎧First impressions that stick

From the moment I first put them on, the difference was obvious. The sound is clean, balanced, and incredibly detailed without being harsh.

They’re closed-back, which means:

  • Less external noise getting in
  • Less sound leaking out
  • Better focus when editing or recording

Perfect for anyone working in music, video, or audio production.

🎙️Why they still beat modern headphones

Wireless headphones are convenient—but they still can’t compete with wired studio quality like this.

What stands out most about the DT 770 PRO:

  • Crisp, high-resolution sound
  • Strong bass without distortion
  • Clear mids and detailed highs
  • Extremely reliable for long editing sessions

If you’re working in audio, you’ll notice the difference immediately.

🪶Comfort for long sessions

One of the biggest wins is comfort.

  • Soft velour ear pads
  • Over-ear design that fully encloses your ears
  • Lightweight feel for long wear

You can easily wear these for hours while editing, filming, or mixing without fatigue.

🎬Perfect for creators

These are ideal if you’re doing:

  • Music recording or mixing
  • Podcast editing
  • Video editing
  • Location sound work
  • Content creation

Basically, anything where accurate sound matters.

🔌Built to last

They’re also built like a tank:

  • Durable German engineering
  • Strong fixed cable (3.0m)
  • Includes 3.5mm + 6.35mm adapter

Mine have lasted years of use and still perform like new.

👍Final thoughts

These headphones became my foundation for learning proper sound monitoring—and I still reach for them when accuracy matters most.

They’re not flashy. They’re not wireless. But they arereliable, accurate, and industry standard for a reason.

10/10 would recommend.
